There are a lot of changes coming with the COG online website and system. Online payment for membership dues and for purchasing COG merchandise is now a reality.
Right now both I and Steve Jenkins (Western NC AAD) have a lot of things going on and are trying to plan the next rides, something that we can have for both area's riders to meetup. If anyone has any ride suggestions, or would like to plan and lead a ride in their area, please let us know. We would really like to have members coming out and leading others on their favorite rides. Contact me if you'd like to do this (and put more rides on our calendar!) and I will take care of the ride announcements and get it on the South East Area upcoming ride list.

The first Charlotte area RTE in several years was a success. With less than two weeks notice given, we had five bikes and six people in attendance. Details of the day in the Ride Reports section.
Communication among members was discussed at our lunch. A year or two ago I created a forum with the intent of our local riders being able to communicate ride information there. The link in the menu will take you there, it will need some tweaking yet but is a starting point to put riders in touch with one another. There is a calendar within the forum pages if anyone wants to add content to it.
Discussions can be on any topic, not just motorcycles. If you are going riding somewhere and want to invite others, this would be a place to post it. Email lists are fine but not everyone wants another bunch of messages to sort through every day. I'm open to whatever suggestions are offered to find the best way for riders to exchange information.
